Works of Martin Luther

Many people come to this site looking to find a place to acquire Martin Luther’s works online.  All of his doctrinal work that is considered the Lutheran Confessions are available online for free.  Look for a link on this site to the Book of Concord.  This collection of confessions and statements, is the official doctrine of the Lutheran Church.  As you read it, you might find that your local Lutheran church no longer emphasizes certain aspects of these documents.  The reasons for this shift in focus is the reason there are so many different denominations of Lutheranism.

Beyond the official creeds of the Lutheran Church there are many other works Luther wrote.  So far there is a collection of 55 books which is a partial collection of his complete works.  Much of his writing is still in German and is slowly being translated over into English.  The best place to get a copy of these works is via Amazon.  Click here for theComplete works of Martin Luther on CD Rom.
